I started Monday Morning Inspiration quite a while ago but my posts were sporadic. I’d throw a quote out from time to time, but only when I came across something that really struck me as interesting. And then, a year ago, my mother sat in hospital and almost lost her life, while I sat at home completely beside myself with worry. It was during that time, when I was desperately searching for something to keep me occupied and grounded, that I made a commitment to follow through with weekly posts for at least a year. 🙂 Well, here we are at just over a year, and I made good on my commitment.
A while ago I was having a conversation with one of you and we spoke of Monday Morning Inspiration. My friend said something along the lines of, “I read them not only for interest but to see what you might be working through at the time.” I have to admit that took me back a bit. I had never considered that my own process would shine through, but here we are. It is true that certain things strike me in a particular way depending on what’s happening in my life at that time. But these weekly offerings are more than that. I know that if I’m working through something, if I feel vulnerable/confused/overjoyed/grief-striken (fill in the blank) in a particular way, that someone else is likely in the same boat. So here is some of what rests behind the posts:
- I hope you don’t feel alone.
- I hope one of these quotes brings you comfort.
- I hope these posts act as a key to open up within you: the voice you’ve been stifling OR the answer you’ve been looking for OR the curiosity and wonder that is your birthright OR the much-needed process of transformation.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time out of their day to read Monday Morning Inspiration. Thank you for your “likes”. And thank you for sharing, for moving the words along, when you find something that you know someone else needs.
Here’s to the future. May it be bright!
Love,
Tabitha
Absolutely love the Monday morning inspiration. I really hope it continues. I feel, some days, like you have a very clear eye on my life as most of them effects that moment in my life. Thank you
Aw, thanks, Eileen. I knew I wasn’t alone in the boat! xo
I read these every week. They are a joy to start the week. More often than not, they speak to me. It’s nice to have someone in the “boat”. I feel heard. I feel seen. I feel supported. Thank you.
I’m so glad. Thank you for sharing how these land with you. xo
