Group Classes for Women
Helping you to come home to your Self.
**Please ask me about private sessions.
I’m going to be straight with you, if you’re looking for a Yoga class because you’re looking for an addition to your workout regime, you’re probably not going to be too happy in these classes. Not that you won’t sweat, because you probably will, but there’s more to Yoga than physical exercise and that is what I teach–breathwork, meditation, self-knowledge and a relationship with the Divine. I will push you to learn about yourself, about where you resist and where you soar, and I will refer to larger powers. Sometimes I will even call this power “God” not because we’re religious in any way (we’re not) but because it’s almost impossible to ignore the larger picture once you start practicing Yoga.
If you’re hoping for a very esoteric, woo woo class, you too will probably be a bit unhappy here. We’re irreverent. We laugh. We talk. We discuss what’s going on. And you better believe there’s hooting and clapping when a woman reaches a point she never believed she would ever reach. Not that we’re not ever quiet or serious about what we do. We most definitely are. But what we are goes far beyond a class of indifferent faces.
Many of us have been together almost every week for years. We know each other. With class sizes as small as one and never any bigger than nine, community happens. I get to know you, how your body, mind and personality works, where you struggle, where you’d like to push. And you get to know me, the human behind the label “teacher”. I flub. I struggle with “left” and “right”. And sometimes I help lead one mean, awesome Yoga class where people leave floating.
Different styles of Yoga are available so you can create for yourself the most balanced practice according to your current needs.
This is a place where women come together to transform themselves in one of the coolest communities I have ever seen or had the honour to be part of.
First we change ourselves and then, maybe, THE WORLD!???? 🙂
Many blessings,
Tabitha
